DIY Ankara Shift Dress

Hola Chicas,

I’ve wrapped up my Summer sewing projects, wishing I finished this project weeks ago so I could’ve worn this bad boy on my vacation!!! 😠 If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my post of a look I found on Pinterest, several weeks ago.  I recently had some time to finish up some UFO’s that had been taking up massive amounts of space in my sewing room and this dress was the first in my list to finish.

A bit about the dress…  To create the dress,  I used my favorite hack-able pattern, Vogue Pattern V8840.  Similar HERE & HERE, I added 7-8 in to the length and ended with a 3 in hem, which I actually ended up loving!  I created a v-neck & added a facing to clean up the neckline.  I cut the back bodice away from the FOLD, creating a center back seam.

With only 5 main seam lines, this dress is extremely easy to complete!
