Style Me Something Thrifted!

2015 is my year!  I’m making changes to my wardrobe.  I’m thrifting.  I’m sewing for myself, sewing for others.  I’m reaching out of my box!

Hopefully by now you’ve read about my 1st trip to the thrift store.  Here are just a few of the looks I’ve put together so far, by combining some of my ‘closet finds’ with some of my thrift store finds!

Thrifted Ralph Lauren Jacket

The wool Ralph Lauren jacket cost $4.  I paired it with my mustard top, found at Banana Republic , some skinny jeans and rider boots. #Boom.

Thrifted Green TopFor more of a casual look, I took this 3 quarter-length sleeve top that I paid $2 for with my refashioned jean skirt and some wedge sandals from Dillard’s (sale price was $31).

This sweater is another ‘closet find’ – it was a gift from someone very special to me…  it qualifies as something thrifted because… well it’s old!  🙂  I paired it with some skinny jeans and my favorite booties!

So you see, styling your thrift store finds is easy.  If you’re not able to rehab what you’ve bought, then just throw it into your ready-made wardrobe!
